What is a Liquor Accord?
Liquor Accords are partnerships among licensed venues, community members, local businesses, local councils, police, government departments and other community groups. Their goal is to minimise alcohol-related harm, provide support to community and business, and take on a collaborative and community approach to their geographical boundaries.
The Surry Hills Liquor Accord covers some of Sydney’s liveliest, diverse and flamboyant precincts - and the businesses within showcase some of the greatest live entertainment and food & beverage offerings in the country.
The primary goal of our accord is to enable businesses and the community to continue to provide this, while developing and delivering innovative and impactful strategies to ensure the minimise and reduce any risks associated with alcohol.
